Riven was created by Cyan and released in 1997.

Riven picks up right where Myst left off. The player must help Atrus rescue his wife Catherine who had been trapped in a dying world. With over 4,000 images, all amazing, and 3 hours of spectacular animation and cinematography, and 2 hours of captivating music, Riven has become the standard for realism in games today.
